Easy Cheese Danish {Starbucks Copycat Recipe}

Copycat Starbucks Cheese Danish | www.shariblogs.com

I have been so excited to share this recipe with you for an Easy Cheese Danish.  It is a Starbucks copycat recipe and I know you are going to love it.  I had never tried this kind of danish before, but one day when we were at Starbucks my husband made me take a bite of his.  I actually liked it.  A lot.  I get cravings for them now.  We are out of town right now at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville and I might have had one already.  I mean there is a Starbucks right here in the lobby.  How convenient is that??!!

If you ask me, the more cream cheese filling the better so I load these suckers up.  You can adjust it to your liking very easily.

Let me know what you think when you try these.  We love them!  🙂

Easy Cheese Danish {Starbucks Copycat Recipe}
  • 1 can Crescent rolls
  • 1 pkg cream cheese
  • ½ c. sugar
  • ½ tsp. vanilla
  • 1½ Tbsp. of beaten egg
Egg Wash
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp water
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Beat your cream cheese and sugar until nice and creamy.
  3. Add the vanilla and beaten egg; mix until well combined.
  4. Open and unfold your crescent rolls. You will want to create squares by putting two triangles together and pinching together the seams to make one square. Do this with the whole can.
  5. Once your squares are made, spoon your cream cheese filling into the center of each square. Fill to your liking, but don't overfill as it will run out the sides when baking.
  6. Make egg wash by combining 1 egg and 1 Tbsp of water in a small bowl and beat.
  7. Brush the edges of each pastry square with the egg wash. Fold each corner in towards the center until they almost touch each other. You can also connect them if you want.
  8. Transfer each pastry to the lined baking sheet. Do this very carefully!
  9. Bake for 15-18 minutes.
  10. Enjoy!

Copycat White Castle Cheeseburgers

Copycat White Castle Cheeseburgers | www.shariblogs.com

I have so many memories of grabbing White Castle Cheeseburgers when we would go to Nashville to visit family or whenever we would pass one on the road during a trip.  They are now a big favorite with my family.  Whenever the kids see a White Castle, they always want to stop.  Where we live, we have Krystal.  It’s very similar but not the same.

One day I went on a quest to try my hand at making some of my own here at home.  I loaded up trusty Google and found quite a few recipes.  Some called for bread crumbs, others for peanut butter.  Yep, you heard that right.

I made up my own little recipe using a combination of several that I found online and they are perfect!  The boys gobble these right up!

Please excuse the pictures but it was after dark when I made these and we were all starving, so I just grabbed a couple quick pictures to get these on here for you guys.  I will update the pictures later.

Copycat White Castle Cheeseburgers
Serves: 12-15
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 pkt. Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • ¼ cup rehydrated minced onion flakes
  • 8 slices American Cheese
  • 12 Sara Lee (or similar) dinner rolls
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°.
  2. Spray a large lipped cookie sheet with cookie spray or line with parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef and onion soup mix.
  4. Gently press the ground beef onto the cookie sheet. It should make a nice thin layer over the entire sheet.
  5. Sprinkle the minced onion over the meat and pat down.
  6. Bake in the oven to 20 minutes. The meat will shrink up and pull away from the edges. You'll end up with about ¾ of a pan of meat.
  7. When done, remove from the oven and soak the undersides of your buns in the excess grease in the pan. This is what makes them taste even more authentic!
  8. Now top the meat evenly with American Cheese slices and cook for 2 minutes to melt the cheese.
  9. Remove from the oven and let rest for just a couple minutes before using a pizza cutter to cut into patties.
  10. Now put your patties on your hamburger buns and serve!
  11. Optional: You can add condiments of your choosing. pickles, ketchup and mustard are standard on the real White Castle burgers.

What is your favorite fast food burger place??  Besides White Castle, I like Wendy’s, Sonic and Five Guys.  Yum!

Copycat Steak n’ Shake Garlic Cheeseburger

Have you tried the Steak n’ Shake Double Garlic Cheeseburger yet?  Oh my goodness.  It is definitely one of the best cheeseburgers I have ever had.  I think one of the reasons that I love it so much is because…

a) I LOVE me some garlic

b) It is so different from burgers you get at other places

c) It has a lot of garlic… did I mention that already?  ha!

I seriously CRAVE these burgers.  I knew I couldn’t keep driving across town every time I got a craving, so I set out to make my own version.

Theirs is a double steakburger with two very thin meat patties and two pieces of cheese.  I chose to do one thicker meat patty with the two pieces of cheese.  Then we both add a big spooful of garlic butter spread on top of the patty, followed by a little melted butter and generous sprinkling of garlic salt on top of the bun.

My husband grills the best burgers you will EVER EVER taste in your life.  He gets all the credit for grilling this bad boy right here.  His burgers are sooooo incredibly juicy.

Copycat Steak n' Shake Garlic Cheeseburger
  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • garlic butter (homemade or prepared)
  • garlic salt
  • 1 Tbsp melted butter
  • 12 slices of american cheese (or any cheese you prefer)
  • 6 hamburger buns
  1. Spread garlic butter on the insides of a hamburger bun.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, place the buns with the garlic side down and toast them.
  3. Set aside buns when done.
  4. Pat out the hamburger patties into the desired size.
  5. Preheat your grill or a skillet to medium high.
  6. Once preheated, cook your hamburgers until done to your liking.
  7. Add cheese in the last minute while your hamburgers are cooking and let it melt well.
  8. Place your cheeseburgers on the bottom bun. Spread just a little more garlic butter on top of the burger.
  9. Place the top bun and brush on the melted butter.
  10. Lightly sprinkle the top of the bun with garlic salt.
  11. Devour and enjoy!
** Recipe calls for 2 pieces of cheese per burger like Steak n' Shake does. It is every bit as good with just one slice of cheese so that is what we normally do.
