Here is my second and final January spread for my project life album. This one is super simple.
I was wanting to get some pictures of Kendall with our dog Zoe. The light was just perfect one evening so I grabbed them and headed outside. I love how they turned out.
Then we had Kendall’s awards ceremony for the first semester. She received the Honor Roll award, as well as the Citizenship Award. Obviously, we are very proud of her for making great grades but I told her I was even more proud of the Citizenship Award. Being kind and helpful to others is even more important.

As you know, I recently finished my 2014 photo book and had it printed through Mixbook. LOVE IT!! Then I had to figure out what year I wanted to work on next. I decided to do 2016 since those stories are all still fresh in my mind. I knew the kids could help me if I happened to forget some details.
I did not take a lot of pictures in January. I rarely do. I don’t know if it’s because December is such a photo heavy month or its just because because it’s cold and not a lot happening.

Whew! I was so proud of myself for getting Christmas documented in these four spreads! I really don’t pay attention to how many spreads each week requires. My main focus is getting the stories I want documented. Whether it takes one or ten, I am fine with it! The holidays always bring on extra family time because everyone’s schedules seem to slow down just a little bit. We always have game nights. One of my favorite things is lounging on the couch with my hubby by the glow of the tree lights while a fire is roaring in the fireplace. There is just something so peaceful about that!
We took a little road trip to celebrate Christmas with my in-laws. Then we had our annual Christmas Eve dinner at Carrabba’s followed by opening up their Christmas Eve pajamas.
Santa came to my parents house with all of our gifts. Noah and Logan got lots of fun computer stuff for their gaming. Kendall’s big gift was her keyboard.
Another year in the books!
