Okay my friends, if you haven’t made any recipes off of this blog yet you HAVE to make this cinnamon sugar banana bread. Like NOW. Go ahead. I will be here when you get back so you can tell me how awesome it is. Seriously. This bread is one of our absolute favorite things that we ever make. I know the recipe by heart because I have made it so many times already.
The recipe is really easy and comes out perfect every time. We all know about my love affair with cinnamon so it’s not surprising that it’s my favorite.
Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread

Ingredients
- 3 over-ripe bananas, smashed up
- ⅓ cup melted butter
- ¼ c. light brown sugar
- ½ c. white sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tsp. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- dash of salt
- ½ c. white wheat flour
- 1 c. bread flour
- FOR THE SWIRL:
- ¼ c. white sugar
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350•. Line a 9x5 loaf pan with parchment paper.
- Mix together bananas, butter, sugar, egg, milk and vanilla.
- Put the baking soda and salt on top of the banana mixture.
- Gently stir in the flour. Do not over mix!
- In a small dish, mix the ¼ c. sugar and 2 tsp. cinnamon.
- Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan. Then sprinkle half of the sugar & cinnamon mixture all over the batter.
- Add the rest of the batter and sprinkle with remaining cinnamon/sugar on top.
- Bake for 45-60 minutes. Watch carefully and don't over bake.
